5 Lessons to Learn from the Most Creative Non-Profit Fundraisers

5 Lessons to Learn from the Most Creative Non-Profit Fundraisers

Non-profit organizations can reach out to well-known brands and
enterprises in their local communities to ask for sponsorship such as
providing rewards for fundraising campaigns, matching donations to
charitable projects and causes. Many companies have already started
corporate social responsibility programs to increase the awareness of
the good work they are doing for their community. Therefore they will be
very interested in making a matching grant for your non-profit cause
that could not only increase the impact on their community, but also
broadcast their charitable partnerships to a wider audience improving their brand recognition.

That’s how DC Entertainment offered the Save the Children to match
all donations made to the Operation Sharecraft campaign up to a total of
$1,000,000. Using gamification, they successfully made an impact on
thousands of lives of starving children in East Africa and were able to
interact with donors, various news, media, their own customers and
displayed meaningful community support at the same time.

The Movember Foundation encourages supporters to apply for their
companies’ gift matching programs so that the money they donate or raise
for Movember is doubled or sometimes tripled by their employers.

Now think about what you want to achieve and raise money for and then
sometimes the simplest, most entertaining idea, combined with the right
timing, can have a big impact.
