Campaign Storytelling for Crowdfunding Success

Campaign Storytelling for Crowdfunding Success

Every good story needs an angle, and, for this reason, needs length and depth. A story that spans an extended period gives the project room to develop and adjust. The more detail, the more authentic, and thus more
effective. The angle you adopt, however, should be inviting and competitive—that is, unique compared to other like-minded projects on the market.
One good quality of campaign storytelling is sequence. This requires a keen sense of pacing: keeping your customers in the moment, awaiting the next installment. For instance, personas and narratives that are open-ended leave room for a follow-up. Some of the best brands in the world do this expertly. If this aspect of crowdfunding baffles you at first, research the industry and assess your competitor’s ability to tell stories. Find inspiration and then get writing!
