Crowdfunding Match Pledge: Unlock The Power!
At the time of writing the Bring Reading Rainbow Back for Every Child, Everywhere! Kickstarter campaign
has just closed with a new record of 105,857 backers and is #5 on the
list of highest funded campaigns on the site with over 5.4 million
dollars pledged. One could write a plethora of articles on this campaign
and how well it was run, but today we’re focusing on one singular
element; match pledges.
The RR Kickstarter campaign started very strong and in a mere eleven
hours reached its goal of one million dollars. By the end of the next
day they had nearly two and a half million dollars in pledges with
54,942 backers. While many people would be out celebrating and toasting
to their success they decided to dig deep and up the ante. The support
so far had been overwhelming so why not push to take it further?
