Crowdfunding Educational Programs and Initiatives

Crowdfunding Educational Programs and Initiatives

Schools foster some of the greatest ideas. They refine talent, instil
interest and build roads for students to take in their personal and
professional lives. Often, following a degree, students move onto
projects of their own, hindered only by one thing – a lack of money. Up
until now, crowdfunding’s given such dreamers a viable alternative for
raising capital. While still in school, however, educational programs
can use crowdfunding in the same way.

For one, crowdfunding academic and scientific research grows in
popularity each month. Taking a non-profit spin, institutions may also
use crowdfunding to complement local humanitarian and outreach efforts.
Similarly, teachers can garner funds for new supplies and programs,
particularly sports teams and other extra curricula activities. Best of
all, in doing so, the publicity of a successful campaign potentially
boosts enrolment rates. At the same time, a campaign may also attract
new board members and shareholders.
